Humble beginnings
Our Company was born as Bharati Auto Products in a small owned factory in Oswal Ice Factory area in Jamnagar with a size of 5 employees. We started with making Battery terminals and sold them to local dealers in Northern part of India.
Opening First Foundry
By the year 1975, we had expanded to 15 employees started our first foundry. We started making export quality Battery Terminals which were supplied to local exporters who then would export it to other countries.
Going Strong
We moved in GIDC Phase 1 in Jamnagar in a 13,000 square feet area. We started our two foundry & four manufacturing division which increased our manufacturing prowess to twice that of earlier. We also started our fifth division Hirpara Metal Industries for selling electrical industrial cable glands. Initially, we supplied them to local companies in northern India.
Expansion of the Cable Gland range
We expanded our Cable Gland market to include the southern part of India. Business was in full swing. We also added export quality cable Glands to our range which were supplied to the local suppliers. We had expanded to employ 50 people.
Our First Export
We made our first export to Malaysia in 1987. We started exporting to countries in the far east region like Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia in a small scale.
New Marketing Office
We opened a new Marketing Office in Mumbai, India which would be responsible for all the exports. We also started exporting to countries in the Gulf region like UAE, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Kuwait. Export had increased to 3 times of when it started in 1987 and number of people employed increased to 100.
More Countries, More Products, More Space
We started exploring the European market to export our products. United Kingdom and France were added to the list of countries we exported. We added Industrial Brass Fittings to our range of products. We bought new space to increase our factory size to 30,000 square feet.
More New Countries
We now export our products to more than 20 countries. New additions include Spain, Portugal, Italy, Germany, USA, Canada and Australia.
A New Factory
We acquired a space of 500,000 square feet to build our new ambitious factory in GIDC Phase 3 in Jamnagar in 2005. Construction was completed in a part of that space and we moved the manufacturing of Cable Glands, & Electrical Accessories, Brass Fittings, Furniture Fittings & Various Metal Components, to the new factory to fulfill the increased demand of our products. The number of people employed increased to about 350.
World wide coverage
We now export to more than 40 countries from all the parts of the world including countries like Brazil, Chile, Peru, Uruguay, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Belgium and Croatia.
